The Physical Benefits of Watsu Therapy

What to Expect in a Watsu Session
A Watsu session takes place in a warm pool (around 35°C), a temperature that allows you to completely relax without feeling cold. If the session is held at Akasha Spa in the Conservatorium Hotel, you and I will have the pool to ourselves—giving you the privacy and peace to fully surrender to the experience.
You don’t need to know how to swim to enjoy Watsu—I will support you the entire time, guiding your body through gentle movements and stretches that promote energy flow and deep relaxation.
The name Watsu comes from a combination of “Water” and “Shiatsu”—a traditional Japanese healing practice that works with energy meridians to restore balance in the body. Watsu blends the best of both worlds: the healing power of touch and the effortless relaxation of warm water.
